This long playlist collects Mike Oldfield's first 4 albums. They all consist of longer pieces of music exploring themes and structures that Tubular Bells first sets out to discover, and which are further extended during the critically panned yet fan favourite Hergest Ridge.
Ommadawn still stands as the no.1 favourite among polled fans (based on a poll taken by Mike Oldfield's fan group on Facebook), whilst Incantations takes a longer view. This double album has a slower pace and structure, with some evocative vocals international folk influences.
